Today, July 9th, 2013, The Waterfront Redevelopment Partners (a partnership between Jaindl Properties and Dunn Twiggar Company) received tentative plan approval from the Allentown Planning Commission for their 26-acre redevelopment, The Waterfront.
The plan itself will be divided into two phases: the first consisting of three office buildings, a residential complex, a parking garage, the Allen Street Plaza and the first half of the site’s anticipated River Walk on the southern end of the site. Retail will be located on the street level of each building. The second phase, located on the northern side of the site, will consist of three office buildings and two additional residential complexes, along with a second parking garage, the Furnace Street Plaza and the remainder of the River Walk.
The Waterfront Redevelopment Partners, following today’s tentative plan approval, will continue forwarding addressing any of the City’s questions or concerns in order to submit for Phase I final approval in the next three months.
