The commission gave unanimous approval to a conceptual master plan for The Waterfront, a $275-million-dollar mixed use neighborhood along the Lehigh River. The Waterfront is planned on nearly 27 acres stretching more than a half mile along the river– the former Lehigh Structural Steel property beneath the west end of the Tilghman Street Bridge.
Today The Waterfront master plan was presented to the Allentown Planning Commission. The redevelopment, officially called The Waterfront, will be the transformation of approximately 26 acres of industrial land along the western side of the Lehigh River in the City of Allentown into a unique and vibrant waterfront setting.
Jaindl Properties, LLC, (Waterfront Redevelopment Partners), announced today that they have officially closed on the twenty-six acre site along the western banks of the Lehigh River in Allentown.
